This is a Near Mint Imperial PROV USA 1-Blade Texas Toothpick Folding Pocket Knife, or as Imperial Called Them “The Sportsmaster Outdoor Knife” with a Single Carbon Steel Clip Point Blade with a Long Nail Pull and a Fish Scaler on the Last Half of the Top of the Blade and Still has its Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge,  a Beautiful Set of Multi-Colored Foil Cover with This One of a Flying Mallard and in Excellent Condition with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips or Slivers, Brightly Polished “Nuloy” Bolsters and End Caps, Steel Liners, a Single Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 4 1/4” in Length and Made by the Imperial Knife Co Located in Providence Rhode Island Between c.1946-1956.     This is one of the four different outdoor scenes Imperial made with foil covers on a Texas Toothpick or Fish Knife. I recently sold a set of all four and was going to use this one to accumulate another full set but I no longer have the time. This is an Imperial 1-Blade Texas Toothpick or Fish Folding Pocket Knife in Near Mint Condition. The knife has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel clip point blade with a fish scaler on the last half of the top of the blade so technically I guess it’s actually a fish knife. It still maintains its original factory mirror polish and it’s original factory edge.  However, it does have a few blemishes. Just a few specks and rubs on the front face and one or two on the rear face. Stamped on the front tang is Imperial (with the Imperial crown over the top)(over) PROV USA.  Stamped on the rear tang are two patent numbers. The blade still has excellent hard snap on both open and close snap. The covers on this knife are the draw. Imperial came out with four different outdoor scenes on these knives. There was a swordfish, a flying mallard, a hunting dog and a pheasant. I still have two of the swordfish versions yet to list. The red, green, gold and black covers are still in perfect condition and still have a shiny surface just like new. There are no blemishes on the covers and there are no pins needed. The knife has brightly polished “Nuloy” rounded bolsters and clasp type end caps. The knife has steel liners and a single steel back spring. The back spring is free of any cracks or breaks and continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. This beautiful Imperial toothpick or fish knife with the bright foil covers of a flying mallard is in near mint condition and is 4 1/4” in length. Made by the Imperial Knife Co of Providence, Rhode Island between c.1946-1956.
