Schrade
Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery.
In 1973 the name was changed again to Schrade Cutlery &, unfortunately, in 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy. The brands were purchased in bankruptcy & resurrected with the old Schrade brands adorning Chinese imports.
You will find a good selection of Schrade folding pocket knives, lock-back knives & some fixed blades for sale here at AAPK. Our members often list great examples of Old Timers, Uncle Henry, Open Stock knives & more. Many new old stock & vintage pre-bankruptcy examples of the many great Schrade knife patterns designed in their best days from the 2OT to the 194OT, & everything in between will often be found to buy here!
