This is a Very Early Vintage Hard to Find IKCO, Imperial Knife Co, 1-Blade Texas Toothpick Folding Pocket Knife with a 4” Long Carbon Steel Muskrat Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Set of Root Beer Solid Composition Scales with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips but with Some Dings and Scratches, Brightly Polished Rounded Nickel Silver Bolsters, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Clasp Style End Caps, Polished Brass Liners, a Single Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 5” in Length, Made by the Imperial Knife Company Located in Providence, Rhode Island Between c.1928-1930.

This is an Lightly Used Vintage and Early IKCO, Imperial Knife Co.,1-Blade Texas Toothpick Folding Pocket Knife. This is from long before Imperial introduced their cheaper line of Hammer Brand shell knives and starting calling this pattern Sportsmasters. This is a well made quality knife made in Imperial’s earlier days. The knife has a single lightly used 4” long carbon steel muskrat blade with a common nail pull. The blade still has most of its original factory mirror polish. Stamped on the front tang is IKCO inside of a diamond. You see the IKCO stamp much more often inside a rectangle or parallelogram. The ones inside a diamond and are much more rare being made only between the years of 1928-1930. The blade has an excellent hard snap on open and a hard loud “klack” metal on metal snap on close. The scales are a set root beer solid composition. They are free of any cracks, splits or missing chips but they do have some dings and scratches. There are three (3) brass handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver rounded bolsters and brightly polished nickel silver clasp style end caps. All are free of any dents or dings. The knife has a single, very clean, steel back spring that is free of any cracks or breaks or blemishes. It still performs the functions it was designed to perform.
