ADDITIONAL INFO:   There are a couple interesting things about this particular knife but one of the most interesting things to me is the British style can opener. I am told this is one of the first can openers put into a knife, it began appearing in knives around 1880. I looked through the Schrade Cut Co. E catalog and supplements and catalog #40, but I could not find any Schrade Cut Co. knife made with the British style can opener. Another thing I find interesting about this knife is the type of bail used; instead of a wire bail used on most knives, this knife has a flat strap type of bail. I think this knife is quite a bit older than I originally thought it was. I had difficulty photographing the crack at the pile side rocker pin, it is visible however in the second picture looking at the pile side of the knife. The crack appears as a little dark line beneath the pin and running out to the edge of the handle. The crack is tight and I don't think there's any danger of it breaking under normal use.

This is an awesome old knife with beautiful peach seed bone handles! It will look great in someone's collection.
