Up for your consideration is a vintage 1981 Schrade USA 152 Scrimshaw Sharpfinger fixed blade hunting knife, complete with its original factory presentation display box, original black leather sheath, and factory paperwork insert. Proudly manufactured in Ellenville, New York, this limited edition variation features the highly collectible whaling ship and sperm whale scrimshaw artwork molded into the scales.

​This knife is in great vintage condition. It has been exceptionally well-preserved as part of a collection and presents with excellent structural integrity.

​Condition Report:

​The Blade: Great condition. The high-carbon steel blade retains its clean original factory profile, full belly, and sharp upswept point with a dark etched anchor logo and "SCHRADE SCRIMSHAW" on the mark side face. Please note there are a couple of very light cosmetic hairline scratches on the blade face from standard handling over the years (visible upon close inspection in the photos). The blade is otherwise completely free of heavy storage rust or deep pitting. The ricasso features the classic straight block "SCHRADE / U.S.A. 152" tang stamp, and the reverse side is individually serialized with number 05039.

​The Handle: Flawless ivory-colored polymer handles securely pinned to the full tang. The scrimshaw-style art is beautifully detailed, deep, and dark, featuring a sperm whale and longboat scene on the mark side and a classic multi-masted tall ship on the reverse. The scales are entirely tight with no chips, yellowing, or cracks around the lanyard hole or pins.

​The Packaging & Sheath: The original leather sheath is in excellent shape with tight factory stitching and a crisp snap button. The inner display tray is clean, and the outer tan cardboard presentation box remains solid and rigid with clear graphics and text, showing only typical light shelf edge rubs from storage.
