CONDITION:   New old stock, does have shop wear and no box.

DAMAGE:   Shop wear, mainly to handles and bolsters. I don’t think it’s ever been used, or sharpened but  like most yellow composites this one collects the dirt and scratches.

BLADE WEAR: Blades appear to be full and unsharpened.

ADDITIONAL INFO:      Imperial Schrade Corporation went bankrupt in 2004. At the resulting bankruptcy auction Taylor Brands LLC purchased the intellectual property, i.e. the brand names and designs owned by Imperial Schrade Corporation. This included of course the Schrade and Schrade Walden names and the trademark Everlastingly Sharp that Schrade had used many years before. Shortly after Taylor brands purchased the rights to all of Schrade’s names they quickly went to Camillus and had them make some knives with the Schrade Walden name on them. I believe they chose deliberately to use the name Schrade Walden as well as Schrade and the Everlastingly Sharp™ on the same knife as a way of establishing their claim to the names and their intent to use them. There were several knives made by Camillus for Taylor Brands and all were good quality knives. I think some of them were probably made with the same dies Camillus used to make knives parts and complete knives for Schrade. I was certainly not sell this as a Schrade knife, especially not a Schrade Walden but I would certainly say this was made by Camillus and is a quality pocketknife. If you want a Schrade Walden, save up some more money and get a real Schrade Walden. If you want a good American made stockman pattern pocketknife, by this one, the price is good.
