ADDITIONAL INFO:   The Frontier series of knives by Imperial were direct competition for Schrades Old Timer line of knives. Albert Baer, (owner of Schrade), purchased the last of the Imperial stock and became the sole owner of Imperial in mid-1980, circa 1984 or 1985. The Imperial Frontier series were last made in 1985. Many of the patterns had been phased out long before Albert Baer purchased the company but there were a handful of patterns that survived until 1985. These knives were quality products and they compared quite favorably with the Old Timer line, especially when considering they were less expensive.
