ADDITIONAL INFO: The Schrade Walden Bowie Hunter, H-15, is often mistaken for a military knife. While it may have been purchased by troops to carry in Vietnam, but it was not issued so far as I have been able to determine. It is possible that it was purchased on a unit level for issue to their personnel, but so far as historians have been able to establish the H-15 was never purchased by the Department of Defense to be issued to US troops. The leather ring handle is in very good condition; I see no indication of deterioration of the leather handle. The sheath that was with this knife was not original, not Schrade and in poor condition. I was able to find an unused sheath online for the later Schrade 160OT and it fits the H-15 Bowie Hunter quite nicely. This is a great knife for someone Schrade collection or an outstanding knife to take hunting!
