ADDITIONAL INFO:      The C648 is the large 3rd Generation stockman pattern. It only appeared in the Schrade catalogs in 1983 and 1984. This was a very short-lived series of knives and they have become very collectible. There were seven patterns in this series, this one being the largest stockman. There was also a SS648, which was basically this same knife with stainless steel handles. I don’t know why this series was not so popular at the time, though collectors seem to like them now.
