ADDITIONAL INFO:      The Schrade Simon series only appeared in the Schrade catalogs in 2003 and 2004, with the exception of the SS1 which was first listed in 2002. This is a knife designed to clip onto a key ring, belt loop or vest and can be easily detached and stowed in one’s luggage if traveling via airplane. The SS1 appeared in 2002, one year after 9/11. This is one of the first of knives I know of to be designed and marketed with the post 9/11 traveler in mind! A true piece of knife history.
