ADDITIONAL INFO:      The Cliphanger series of knives was an interesting series of knives. The larger ones seem to feel better and many were continued until Schrade closed in 2004. The smaller ones were pretty much gone by 1999. The concept was there was a leash for your knife that clipped onto a belt loop and then attached to the knife by means of a quick release tab on the end of the lanyard. It was not a bad concept though I think an elastic leash would’ve been helpful and a metal carabineer instead of a plastic one to clip on the belt loop. They were actually good knives and I recall giving one to one of my sons for his 12^th birthday. I even carried one of the larger ones and found it to be a good EDC though I don’t recall using the leash. Here is an opportunity to add to your collection a mint example of one of Schrades and ingenious ideas!
