ADDITIONAL INFO:     This pattern was introduced in 1950 and was called “Western Slim Premium Pattern.” It may even have been a pattern carried over from Schrade Cut Co, though I have not found the same pattern yet in the old Schrade Cut Co catalogs. Interestingly there were three variations of this pattern listed in the Schrade Walden catalogs, the first was the early 1950 version, which had bone stag handles and milled liners. The second pattern 825 SS was introduced in 1971. These first two versions were last seen in the Schrade Walden catalog in 1972. The third version of the 825 pattern was the 825 RB. The 825 RB was introduced in 1964 when Schrade Walden introduced their “Revolutionary New Razor Blade Stainless T.M. Pocket Knives.” By 1972 the 825 and 825 SS were discontinued and the 825 RB, made with “Unbreakable Staglon® Handles” and called the “Slim Premium” stock knife was the only version made. The 825 RB appeared in the Schrade catalogs until 1988. This 825 is one of the 825 RB made after 1973, when Schrade Walden changed their name to Schrade, and before the pattern was discontinued about 1988. This knife has the Razor Blades Stainless etch on the clip blade, light but visible. This knife would be a nice addition to a collection or to a pocket or purse. The small slim size makes this pattern easy to carry and comfortable in the pocket.
