The 285UH was made from 1968 to 2002.

This knife was made before the tang stamp change in 1973.

The rear liners are milled.

This knife is serial number 30998. I don't know what date corresponds to this 5 digit serial number, but it is before the six digit numbers and the alphabet code that was added later.

The fact that this blade is carbon steel makes it an earlier Uncle Henry as most of them were made with stainless steel blades.

A nice early example of a carbon steel Schrade Walden, with nice full blades. This would make an excellent user! But it's rare enough that it would still be a nice piece in an Uncle Henry collection.
