Vintage Schrade 497 "The 49er" Fixed Blade Sheath Knife. Made In USA. In Excellent Unused Condition. No Box. Factory Edge Intact. Factory Embossed Leather Sheath Shows No Sign of Ever Being On A Belt. Snap Works Fine. All Stitching In Place. Very Rare And Hard To Find Knife Especially In This Condition. 4 1/2" Carbon Steel Blade Approx. 1/8" Thick. Cutting Edge Is Excellent . Brass Finger Guard And Pommel Are Tight. Stacked Leather Handle Does Have A Few Small Rubs or Scratches From Handling But All Washers Are Tight. No Broken or Missing or Loose Washers. Overall Knife Is 8 7/8" Long. Handle Has Been Formed With Finger Choils For Better Grip And Comfort. This Knife Will Be Shipped With A Very Thin Coating of Lightweight Oil on Blade Because of Carbon Steel. Pre-owned. Came From A Private Collection.
