I will be selling a few custom knives that we have had for awhile. I have tried to look up as much detail as I can and want to thank Blade Magazine and Bladeforum.com for information I have gathered. 

For Sale is what I think is one of Bob Cargill's early custom fix blade knives. This knife comes with the leather sheath and appears to have never been used, carried or sharpened.  The blade is 2 1/2 inches and is 6 inches overall.

Bob Cargill was a custom knifemaker who started crafting knives at just 10 years old using old car springs—such a creative beginning! In his mid-30s, around 1975, he decided to go full-time into knifemaking, focusing on the stock removal method. During that time, he created a variety of knives, including fixed blades, folders, lockbacks, and multi-blade designs.

He worked with steels like 440C, 154CM, and D2, and used gorgeous materials for handles, including mother-of-pearl, stag, bone, Micarta®, ivory, and wood. Before founding Cripple Creek Cutlery in 1981, Cargill did repair work for Case and made custom knives. His early fixed-blade knives are known for their beautiful craftsmanship and thoughtful design, and collectors still love them today.

Bob’s dedication to quality and innovation really left a mark on the knife industry, and his early work with fixed blades is such a testament to his skill!
