ADDITIONAL INFO:     This knife is an SFO made by Schrade for Sears, under the Craftsman name. I was not sure when this knife was made, so I did a little searching of the web and found this same knife with the box on Etsy. The printing on the box said 1927 – 1977. It appears this was a knife made for the 50th anniversary of the Craftsman brand, although the blade etch does not show the 1977 date. There were other knives made for the 60th anniversary of the Craftsman brand, but all those I found at the dates 1927- 1987 on the blade etch. This knife is the same pattern as the Old Timer 72OT, called the “Dog leg jack” in the Schrade catalogs. This knife is in surprisingly good condition for 45 year old knife that was not in a box. Whoever had this knife apparently kept it well protected, as I see no signs of wear nor dirt in the saw cut marks of the handle.
