NEW YORK KNIFE CO. #187 Folding Hunter
NEW YORK KNIFE CO. WALDEN #187 Folding Hunter measures 5 3/8" closed. c. 1856-1931. Deeply jigged brown bone handles with no issues. Blade is near full and still shows a bit of the "HAMMER BRAND" etch. Blade locks up tight. Closing snap is very light. Looking at the next to last picture you can see that the liners are bowed in at the tail end near the blade tip. This is the result of a previous owner installing a steel pin through the once open hole in the rear bolster. Not sure why someone would do that but is what it is. All in all a nice example of this big NYK pattern.
