Here are three fantastic knives who are suffering from a little cosmetic damage. If I were into restoration, these knives would all be perfect candidates. They are in used condition, but still have so much life left in them. 

Knife 1

New York Knife Co, Hammer Brand (1870-1931)

Model 3113 serpentine stockman with beautiful jigged brown bone scales, high carbon blades, grooved nickel silver blosters, brass pins, liners and spacers, and a great bomb style "crest" shield. Great snap and moderate patina on all blades. No wobble or play. Main blade has moderate wear with blade etch faded but still identifiable. This makes the blade ride low when closed, but the nail nick is still easily accessible. There is a sizable chip missing from the corner of the mark side scale. If this knife didn't have that chip, she would remain in my personal collection as a top 3.

Knife 2

United Cutlery Co, Austria (1908-1922)

This one is a well built 3 blade cattleman knife from United, who's knives were mostly produced in Germany and later in the US. This rare Austrian stamp places it's production between 1908-1922. This knife has long pull nail nicks on it's high carbon blades, brass pins, spacer and liners and beautifully pocket worn wooden scales with a huge bowtie style "gimp" shield. All blades show light signs of wear and maintain great snap on open and close. These blades have slight wobble due to the pile side scale coming loose. A pleasure to look at, but also built to be a user.

Knife 3

Queen Cutlery Co, Winterbottom Bone (1955-1957)

Here is a #56 swell-center jack pattern with great example of the Winterbottom bone that collectors love. Unfortunately, she has ovbiously had a rough past, resulting in a chip on the corner of the mark side scale. This knife has the "Queen Steel" tang stamp, stainless (Queen) steel blades, Winterbottom scales, brass pins, spacer and liners and nickel silver bolsters. Blades have light to moderate wear with great snap. No wobble or play. Just a cool and pretty knife.

Take all 3 for one money.
