This is an Antique or Vintage NEW YORK KNIFE CO WALDEN NY 2-Blade Equal End Jack Folding Pocket Knife with a Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, Black Jigged Bovine Bone Scales in Perfect Condition with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Two (2) Polished Brass End Pins and One (1) German Silver Center Handle Pin in Each Scale, Brightly Polished German Silver Single Flute Rounded Bolsters and End Caps, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, Two (2) Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 1/4” in Length, Made by the New York Knife Co. that was Located in Little Valley, New York Between c.1856-1931. 

This old Vintage or Antique NYKC Equal End Jack Fooding Pocket Knife in Excellent Plus shape. Both blades looked to have been cleaned and I can’t see any signs the blades have ever been used or sharpened. The knife has a carbon steel spear point Bain blade with a common nail pull. The front face has just a few light specks nearer the blade tip. The rear face has a light stain just below the blade tip. Stamped on the front tang of the pen blade is NEW YORK (over) KNIFE CO (over) WALDEN. Next to it is a carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull.  Only a speck or two on either face. Stamped on the front tang of the pen blade is NEW YORK (over) KNIFE CO (over) WALDEN. Both blades still have very good to excellent open and close snap and hard half-stops. The knife has an excellent plus set of black jigged bovine scales in perfect condition. They’re free of any cracks, splits, missing chips or missing slivers. There is a brightly polished German Silver gimp style shield inlaid in the center of the front scale. There are two (2) brass handle end pins and one (1) German Silver center pin in each scale. The knife has brightly polished German Silver single flute rounded bolsters and end caps. The liners are brightly polished brass. The knife has two (2) steel back springs and both are free of any breaks or cracks. They continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This vintage or antique New York Knife Company Equal End Jack Folding Pocket Knife is 3 1/4” in length.  The knife is excellent condition.  With no Hammer Brand stamps anywhere on the knife it’s possible the knife was made before 1878 but not necessarily so.
