Vintage 1950's Bargeon French Stiletto With Bail, 8 1/4 Inch, Beautiful Real Bone Handle, Unused, Hard To Find. I believe this knife is from the 1950's based on the flat, oval button which is very hard to find on these knives. 

 

- Looks unused to me. There are a few small nicks and scratches on the bolsters and blade. These issues appear to be from handling and poor storage. The blade is off center. Please see the pictures as they represent the condition accurately. 

- Functions great, fires strong and locks up with very little blade play. Safety works and slides smoothly. The knife is a button open, button close mechanism.

"Ultra Rare Original Vintage 1950's  BARGEON French Made Classic.  Similar in design to the Italian Classics, but the BARGEON Models are superior in construction.

The 3 3/4" mirror polished Blade is beautifully finished and is marked on the tang "BARGEON INOX". It features a "swedge" grind on the top of the blade (1 1/2" along the top) and Stainless. Handles are Jigged Bone with brass liners. Traditional Sliding Safety with a ROUND Nickel Silver PUSH BUTTON. Later models were switched over to retangular push buttons. Push Button open and close. Measures 8 3/8" overall Open

This model also features Top Bolsters only which are Nickel Silver (normally stainless) (NO BOTTOM BOLSTERS) Very unusual. (You can feel the weight difference as the nickel silver bolsters are much heavier; a quality sign) Measures 4 1/2" closed. unique Nickel Silver bail hook at the base of the handle ....NO BOTTOM BOLSTER. Features excellent action. Side opening leaf spring design. 

This is a 50's era piece that you will very likely never come across again except in a fine collection.. We haven't seen another example of this, and unless you travel to France and do some searching you won't find another...Near Mint Piece with a Custom Zippered Pouch. (No Box). Rarity scale is a 9 out of 10
