ADDITIONAL INFO:      The Captain series appeared in the Schrade catalogs from 1987 until 1990. See the 1986 advertising flyer heralding the new Captain Series. The knife is in mint condition unfortunately the box has three or four indentations from puppy teeth along the bottom right-hand corner. I got this knife about 2005 or 2006 around the same time we had a pair of Lhasa Apsos and in 2007 they had a litter of pups. One of the pups got a hold of this knife in the box and chewed on it. Fortunately the box had a cardboard sleeve over it. The puppy’s teeth never punctured the box; the sleeve absorbed most of the damage. The knife itself is in pristine condition. If you collect of the many varied things that Schrade made, this is one that’s not seen to often.
