DAMAGE:   Spotting & discoloring of blades, some surface pitting. Dings, scratches and wear normal for a 44+ year old knife.

ADDITIONAL INFO:      This pattern was originally Schrade Cut Co pattern #8993-1/4. Schrade Walden carried on the production of this pattern with it being seen in the 1947 catalog pages as the #899. The last appearance of the 899 is in the 1986 Schrade catalog. This knife was produced no later than 1973 due to the Schrade Walden tang stamp, which was discontinued circa June 1973. This knife also has Delrin handles. Schrade Walden was one of the first knife companies to use DuPont’s wonderful new handle material known as Delrin. They started using Delrin about 1960 or 1961. So this knife was made approximately between 1960 and 1973. So we can date this knife at 1967 and know that we are accurate within + or - 7 years. A great addition for any collection!
