DAMAGE:   Normal wear to knife and sheath. Dings on aluminum pommel. Some minor rust spots.

BLADE WEAR:   The knife is the full 8-3/4” which matches factory specs. There may be slight blade loss from sharpening; less than 10% by my estimate.

AGE:     Circa 1935-1950

ADDITIONAL INFO:   This is a nice example of  one of Western’s excellent old knives. For those of you who like their knives uncleaned, I have left this knife just the way I found it. The sheath with this knife is not original, but it is very functional and appears to be in better condition than a lot of the older Western sheaths I’ve seen. If you want a do-it-yourself custom knife, this one would be an excellent candidate. Or if you want a very high quality knife for not much money that you can put an edge on and take hunting, fishing or camping and not worry about losing a high dollar knife, this is a great candidate for you. In my opinion Western made some of the finest carbon steel blades ever made. I have not cleaned this knife nor sharpened it, though I will sharpen it at no charge if the buyer wishes.
