9 3/8" Bird's Head Lever Auto Stiletto, vintage collector knife, Maniago ITALY, new old stock, c.1984

40+ years old, from vintage knife collection being liquidated by estate sale.

This is an original 1980's "cottage industry" knife, hand-assembled by a small shop in Maniago, Italy.  Modern reissues are currently available stamped by Armando Beltrame or SKM/FOX, but fitted with different blades and scales.  Current-production knives are not collectible; if you're seeking an original for your display... here it is!

Rosewood scales & brass bolsters. Stored open in paper wrapper since purchased; never sharpened, used or carried. Works as new, with fast opening and strong lockup.  Typical new old stock vintage condition shows patina and small scuff marks from manufacturing, storage and handling. 9 3/8" opened, 5 1/4" closed, 4" polished bayonet blade with art design, stamped "Rostfrei" in script.  No peek.  Thumb lever both automatically opens and releases blade for manual closing.
