Rare Vintage Out The Front (OTF) Switchblade, Japan Mark and Bale, Unused. Here's a real hard to find and unique knife. I believe the knife is from the 60's or 70's. It is marked STAINLESS STEEL on the front tang and JAPAN on the back tang. I've never seen one of these OTF's marked with Japan.

The knife also has a Bale attached that looks similar to the Bale's on the Japanese Rizzuto's. I've asked several experienced collectors who told me they think the Bale looks original. I believe it is original however it could have been added after production. The finish on the pins holding the Bale on look similar to the other pins on the knife. The bottom bolster also looks very clean and does not show signs of damage from the additon of the Bale. 

Very hard to find knife and great collection piece!

- The knife is unused. There are light scuffs and scratches from handling and storage. I don't see any other condition issues. See the pictures as they represent the condition accurately.

- The knife functions great, fires in and out well. 

- Approximately 8.5 inch total length and 3.5 inch blade.
