This is a great old lightly used New York Knife Co. jack.  Both blades are stamped "New York Knife Co. Walden".  This stamp was used c. 1856-1931 so this would certainly qualify as a "vintage" knife.  Both blades open and close with excellent snap and no blade play.  Both have half stops.  Handles are smooth, chip and crack free ebony.  The main spear blade has a long pull and the graceful swedging you'd expect from one of America's top knife makers of that era.  Even the smaller pen blade is swedged.  Knife measures 3 1/8 inches closed.  There are some carbon spots on the blade and backsprings as one might expect on an knife that has survived for nearly, if not more than, a century.  This knife is an excellent example of American made craftsmanship at its best.
