This is a Vintage ULSTER KNIFE USA 1-Blade Slim Crooked Jack Folding Pocket Knife, with a Single Used and Sharpened 3 1/16” Long Carbon Steel Turkish Clip Point Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Set of Light Brown Jigged Bovine Bone Scales that Have aRepair on the Rear Scale on the Middle of the Top Portion of the Scale, Four (4) Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, a Single Heavy Duty Steel Back Spring Free of Any Cracks or Breaks, Made by the the Ulster Knife Company of Ellenville, New York and is 4 1/16” in Length. 

I’ve never been quite sure about the knives stamped with Ulster Knife USA. Is it an Ulster Knife Co knife pre-1941 or the later Ulster USA that were post-1945. I really though I knew everything but apparently I don’t. Personally I think it’s pre-1941 until someone educates me. It’s a nice little slim Jack but it does have a repair on the top of the rear scale. I’ll get there in a minute. This is a vintage Ulster Knife USA 1-Blade Crooked Slim Jack.  It has a used and sharpened carbon steel Turkish clip point blade with a common nail pull.  It has scratches from use and sharpening on both faces but other than that both faces are clean and polished up great. Stamped on the front tang is ULSTER (over) KNIFE USA.  The blade still has excellent open and close snap. It has a set of light brown jigged bovine bone scales. As I mentioned before it has aRepair on the rear scale on the top at about the middle. It’s pretty decent repair though it’s darker than the rest of the bone so it does stand out. But I’ll give him credit on fitting a replacement piece just about perfect. I included two photos showing the repair. Other than the one repair there are no other cracks, splits or missing chips.  There are four (4) brass handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver bolsters. The knife has brightly polished brass liners.  The knife has a single heavy duty steel back spring and it’s free of any cracks or breaks. It still continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. Made by the Ulster Knife Co of Ellenville, New York it is 4 1/16” in length. Would make for a great EDC.
