This is a Vintage ULSTER KNIFE CO. Model No. D338 2-Blade Barehead Jack Folding Pocket Knife with a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Clip Point Main Blade with a Long Nail Pull, a Used and Sharpened and Carbon Steel Pen Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Very Nice Set of Black Ebony Wood Scales in Excellent Plus Condition with NonCracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Four (4) Steel Handle Pins in Each Scale, Polished Steel Bolsters and Liners, Two Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 7/16” in Length, Made by the Ulster Knife Company Located in Ellensville, New York Between c.1876-1941.

This is a nice Vintage Ulster Knife Co. Model No. D338 2-Blade Barehead Jack Pocket Knife. It has a lightly used and sharpened carbon steel clip point main blade with a long nail pull. Both faces are pretty clean with just a few specks and some horizontal cleaning scratches. Stamped on the front tang is ULSTER (over) KNIFE (over) CO. Stamped on the rear tang is the model no. of D338. The knife has a lightly used and sharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. Both faces have a few scratches from use and more scratches from cleaning but then only a very few specks. Stamped on the front tang is ULSTER (over) KNIFE (over) CO. Both blades still excellent hard snap on open and close and very hard half-stops. The knife has an excellent plus set of black Ebony wood scales in great condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There are four (4) steel handle pins in each scale. The bolsters and liners are steel as well. There are are two steel back springs and both are free of any cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This nice vintage Ulster Knife Co 2-Blade Barehead Jack Pocket Knife is 7/16” in length. Additional photos or information on request.
