Vintage KA-BAR Dog's Head Model V111/78 Folding Hunter, Union Cutlery Co., Stag.

This beautiful dog's head was made in 1977.  The handles are chip and crack free.  The two blade knife: The main blade has a tang stamp of "KA-BAR" with "Reg. US. Pat. Off." beneath. The other side of the main blade is stamped "0213." The other blade has a tang stamp of "Union Cut. Co." with "Olean, N.Y." below. Blades bright and appear as new.  This knife is 5 1/4" long with blades closed. The backstraps are bright.

Co." with "Olean, N.Y." below and "0213" below that. The blade is bright and appears as new.  This knife is 5 1/4" long with blades closed. The backstrap is bright. 

These knives are very seldom offered, much, much less frequently than those made the following year that were not serialized and did not have the "KA-BAR" in the circle on the blade.
