A great knife with a pedigree. Hubert C. Gainer was from WV. Born 1911 and passed in 2006. Trooop 48 was formed in Roane County WV and he attended the national  jamboree in DC in 1937. All this information because he put his name on the back of the sheath! The knife shows little use. Full belly with some honing scars that elbow grease should cure but no pose parts, no shrinkage or signs of deterioration. Deep thumb ramp, nutted pommel. 4 nickel silver pins hold down the handles and a nickel guard. Tang stamps KA-BAR Pat. Aug. 1926/Union Cutlery Co. Olean NY. Used from 1912-30.
