ADDITIONAL INFO: This is the scrimshaw version of the 8OT. Introduced in 1960 the 8OT is the longest produced pattern in the Old Timer line. It was produced from 1960 until Schrade closed in 2004. The SC505, usually listed as 505SC, is the same knife as the 8OT except that it has white Delrin® handles with a scrimshaw pattern that is hot stamped into the Delrin and then inked. It is a good durable handle and the picture usually lasts very well. This knife does not appear to have been used, which is sometimes the case with scrimshawed Schrades; people find them so beautiful they frequently don’t use them, or only use them on special occasions. I’m not sure if this one was used for just put on display, but I don’t see any damage to it. Please check the pictures. It’s ready to go home to you, for your display or your pocket!
