​Up for sale is a rare vintage 1996 Schrade Cutlery USA "Great American Outdoors" Scrimshaw matching 2-knife Salesman Sample set. Handcrafted at the historic Ellenville, New York factory, both knives feature matching factory Salesman Sample bolster serial numbers (#SS17).

​This set includes the large 507SC "American Bison / Buffalo" lockback hunter and the slim 503SC "Trout" single-blade drop point slipjoint, both featuring Schrade+ stainless steel blades, Delrin ivory-colored handle scales with detailed wildlife scrimshaw, brass/nickel silver bolsters, genuine embossed leather sheaths, registration certificate, and the original 507SC blue Great American Outdoors graphic box.

​Condition Report:

​The Blades: Factory near-mint condition. Both Schrade+ stainless steel blades retain 100% full original factory satin finish, crisp "Schrade Scrimshaw" blade etches, razor-sharp factory edges, and intact tips with zero signs of sharpening or field use.

​The Handles & Hardware: Excellent condition. Ivory Delrin handle covers feature crisp, dark wildlife artwork (Buffalo on 507SC, Trout on 503SC). The 507SC front brass bolster shows minor natural tarnish/storage patina from resting in the leather sheath. The 503SC nickel silver front bolster displays a fine surface hairline scratch/line near the "SS17" serial number as shown.

​The Sheaths & Packaging: Excellent condition. Both embossed tan leather sheaths are supple with bright snaps. The original blue 507SC two-piece box shows light storage shelf wear on the edges/corners, and the registration certificate is clean and unwritten.

​The Mechanisms: Firm lockup on the 507SC lockback with zero blade play; smooth walk-and-talk with snappy backspring tension on the 503SC slipjoint.
