ADDITIONAL INFO:   I love very fine tip on this knife that is achieved by the swedge grind on either side of the blade. This makes for a very fine point which is necessary when piercing through the tough skin on the belly of a trout. It’s not hard to pierce the belly skin of a trout if the knife has a good point on it like this one. This knife is a very well designed Bird & Trout knife. I am a huge fan of Western knives for the simple fact that their carbon steel is some of the best ever made in my opinion. The edge holding ability of their knives is legendary and the ease of sharpening is amazing. This knife is nice enough to be in a collection but in my opinion this knife was made to work and I think it would be happiest in someone’s fishing gear.
