ADDITIONAL INFO:      DMF stands for Dual Multi Function, which is a very fitting description of this knife. I believe this is the civilian version of Gerber’s military DMF automatic. I owned a DMF automatic and I really liked it. This manual version of the DMF is every bit as heavy-duty as the automatic. The heavy blade is great for heavy-duty, hard use cutting. The wedge lock can be pulled back in the blade flipped open or it can be opened with the thumb stud. It also has a striking pommel that can be used for defensive purposes or to break glass to exit a wrecked vehicle. This knife is built like a tank! This knife would make a good EDC, a good heavy-duty use knife in a toolbox or a good knife for your vehicle in case of an accident to help you cut the seatbelt and break the glass if necessary.
