I bought this Western W-49 Bowie knife  at a gun show recently. It is one of the best examples I have seen. I do not see any spots or marks on the blade, but look at the pictures and judge for yourself. The tang stamp identifies it as 1991-2007 but it does not have a letter date code. If features the desirable Western-Coleman dangler leather molded sheath.

This large knife conforms to the classical style of the original Bowie Knives. Heavy gauge 9 1/2” Carbon Steel blade with brass guard and resin impregnated hardwood handle. Full width steel tang extends through entire handle. Overall length 14 ¾”. Exclusive swing type molded leather sheath allows this big knife to be hung from the belt and carried with ease.
