CONDITION:   Very Good

DAMAGE:   There is some pitting on the blades and someone took a Dremel to the clip blade and left some marks on it, see pics. Normal wear and scratches to blade and handles. See pictures.

BLADE WEAR:   The blades look near full to me. The skinning blade is longer than the clip blade by about 1/8” but I think was normal for this pattern, though I am not positive.

ADDITIONAL INFO:      The blades have good snap and no wobble. I have not found any cracks in the stag handles. This is some of the prettiest stag I have seen. John Goins in his “Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings” dates the tang stamp as circa 1925-1930. The fellow I bought the knife from said he bought it when he was in the Navy from the Ship’s store, in the early 1950s. If Goin’s dating of the knife is correct, then it must have set in US Naval supply, or a ship’s store, for 20 years or so before he purchased it.
