German cutlers worked for far less than Americans so the McKinley Tariff of 1890 tried to address that issue and added the country of origin to knife tangs; still in practice today. Close to mint with some tarnish. Perfect mother of pearl with file work. Two blades, tight with loud snap both ways, both blades marked Buck Cutlery Co.Tuxedo pattern, brass liners and three brass pins hold down the pearl. Long nickel bolsters. Workers then made 24 cents an hour!
