Ka-Bar brand 1179 lockback knife with skinner blade. Closed length is 5 5/8 inch closed. Rosewood handles, no shield, brass liners and brass bolsters.

This knife does not have half stop. It has a matchstrike longpull, and a blade etch visible that says “Ka-Bar 1179 U.S.A.”  This knife does not come in a box.

The handles are in very nice shape. The brass bolsters are tarnished. The blade has a dull patina finish, and has been used and sharpened. The blade opens up a bit stiff, but locks up nice and tight, and releases easily.
