This Ulster Barlow has been repaired.  The knife was disassembled, the blade tangs altered to restore the snap, then re-assembled with original parts.  It is 3 5/16" long, has steel bolsters, brass liners, and bone handles.

According to the tang stamp I believe this knife was made in the 1950's.  It has been used, and the carbon steel blades show signs of use and sharpening.  I have carried this knife both before and after the repair, and it holds a great edge.   It is light in the pocket, and feels good in the hand when using it.

The blades have stains and patina, but no real pitting.  There are chips in the bone handles, but they are old and worn smooth.  Both blades are tight with no wobble.  The main is very snappy.  The secondary pen blade has great closing snap, but is soft on the opening snap;  That backspring is recessed when the blade is open.
