15" Italian Auto Stiletto, rosewood, NOS vintage collector knife, MONSTER! c.1984

40+ years old, from antique knife collection being liquidated by estate sale.  Rosewood scales.  Stored open in paper wrapper since new purchase; never sharpened, used or carried.  Works as new, with fast opening & solid lockup; videos available upon request via email.  Typical new old stock vintage condition shows small scuff marks from manufacturing and handling.  Lack of wear at sharply-edged pin hole in ricasso indicates infrequent operation during forty years of storage in gun safe.  NO PEEK.  15" opened, 8" closed, 7" polished flat-ground blade with swedge tip.

This ultra-rare & highly-collectible "monster sized" Italian automatic stiletto is a classic example of "cottage industry" small shop manufacturing & assembly in northern Italy during the 1970s - 1980s, using components made in both Germany and Italy.  Blade is stamped "ROSTFREI"; blades made in Italy are more commonly-stamped "INOX".  Possibly an early AGA Campolin, or assembled by an equivalent brand.  Attention, stiletto experts: please respond with any missing information to improve this listing!
