A great knife from the Japanese knife manufacturer G. Sakai. Sakai is known for their attention to detail and quality. They make knives for some of the worlds best knife companies. This is the famous Pearl Road Trout & Bird lockback. Designed by custom knifemaker Y. Aida, this folder is very high quality and is a joy to hold.This knife features a razor sharp 2-7/8" ATS-34 stainless steel, drop point blade. Blade is very nicely etched ATS-34 Y. AIDA DESIGN SAKAI MAKER and is tang stamped G. SAKAI on one side, tang stamped ATS34 on the other.The handle has solid stainless steel bolsters on both ends. Between the bolsters on both sides are beautiful genuine Mother of Pearl inlays with 4 genuine Abalone stripes. A stunning knife!The lockback is a mid-handle design. It has brass liners and a lanyard hole. A very solid and smooth operating knife. Overall length is 6-5/8" open, 3-3/4" closed.This blade comes complete with a top quality leather belt sheath with brass pin closure.
