A rare vintage 1984 issue Parker Cut. Co. JK Series Knife. This knife was made in a special series made in 1984 to replicate Civil War period knives. These knives are hand made of the highest quality and were voted by Blade Magazine in the late 1980s as Investment Knife of the Year. This two blade The Old Dominion knife is a massive folder. The knife has great looking Genuine Natural Smooth Bone (cattle bone) handles. Bolsters are nickel silver. Bar shield and pins are made of Genuine Nickel Silver. Liners are made of Genuine Brass. This knife is a replica of Reiley's Superior Cutlery which commemorates The Old Dominion Real Virginia Knife. The master clip blade is deep etched with "The Old Dominion The Real Virginia Knife" and the smaller spear blade is etched with horses running. The master blade is engraved with the serial number 318. There are 3-4 tiny rust spots on the master blade. The tang stamp is Parker Cut Co, the trademarked Eagle and Hand Made on the front and the rear is stamped Surgical Steel Made in Japan. The 6th edition Parker price guide listed this knife at $350.00
