Jetter and Scheerer, Aesulapius, previous owner of many of these knives was a veterinarian that is why there are so many Rooster Nutters and other vet tools, dog thinning sheers and he collected all things sharp, and this tool is sharp. I dont know its purpose but it is cool and could be used for some other purposes as a tool. The tool measures about 6in total, the lid can be removed to produce a pointy tool, still usable for whatever the original intended purpose or be repurposed as a leather punch or something else like that
