Interesting piece of Americana here.

I got this knife from a man who retired from Texaco gas company. He told me this knife was awarded to him while working for the company, in South Texas, over "30 something years ago". Since then, it has sat in it's original case, unused.

It is a single blade, lock back Folding Sportsman. It has a stainless steel blade, brass and wood handles with Texaco logo shield, and thick brass liners. 

Factory edge, very solid, nice snap and half stop. There is a slight blemish below the Texaco logo and the original case has some moderate wear.

American made in Portland, Oregon.
