John Wigfall & Co. 16" OAL Sterling Silver Bolster Stag Handle Appears Unused Hand Forged Sheer Stel

The John Wigfall Co. made knives in Grimesthorpe England from 1843 to 1905. This knife is 16" made of double shear steel and hand forged as tang stamped on the blade. The stag handle is pinned at the center as seen in one of the pictures. The front bolster is sterling silver, stamped on the edge. The flat pommel is nickel. The Wigfall logo is stamped out on the blade. Made sometime from 1891 to 1905. A very fancy knife that looks to have had no use.
