This is an Extremely Nice Vintage Unused and Unsharpened “Salesman’s Sample” K&B (Kruse & Bahlman) Hdwe Co “CUTSURE” 4-Blade Equal End Senator Pen Folding Pocket Knife with All Blades Still Maintaining Most of Their Original Factory Mirror Polish and Their Original Factory Edges,with four (4) Cutting Blades, with an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Long Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull and the Salesnan’s Code Still Visible on the Front Face, an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Short Clip Point Blade with a Common Nail Pull, an Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Sheepfoot Blade with a Common Nail Pull,  a Great Looking Set of Gnarly Stag Scales in Perfect Condition with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Three (3) Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Rounded Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, Two Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 5/8” in Length, Made for the Kruse & Bahlman Hdwe Co of Cincinnati, Ohio, Hardware Wholesaler, Using Their Cutsure Trademark Between c.1858-1961.

This vintage or antique beautiful Kruse & Bahlman Hdwe Co CUTSURE pocket knife has a lot going for it. It’s not mint or near mint but it’s certainly nearly near mint. This is a rare knife with four completely different types of cutting blades with no stinking nail file blade. Also it’s unused and unsharpened and all four blades still have most to nearly all of their original factory mirror finish and their original factory edges. And best of all it’s a Salesman’s Sample with the salesman’s code still on the front face of the spear blade. The knife has a carbon steel long spear point main blade with a common nail pull.  Other than a couple of specks this blade is clean. It still has the original salesman’s code in black indelible ink on the front face.  Stamped on the front tang is K&B (over) HDWE Co (over) MI GERMANY. Stamped on the rear tang is CUTSURE. Next to it is a carbon steel pen blade with a common nail pull. It has a couple of stains up by the blade tip on the front face but the rear face is clean. Stamped on the front tang is CUTSURE. Stamped on the rear tang is K&B (over) HDWE Co (over) MI GERMANY.  On the other end of the frame is a carbon steel short clip point blade with a common nail pull. It has some staining by the blade tip on the front face but the rear face is clean. Stamped on the front tang is CUTSURE. Stamped on the rear tang is K&B (over) HDWE Co (over) MI GERMANY.  Next to it is a carbon steel sheepfoot blade with a common nail pull.  There is some light pitting on the top of the front face at the start of the nail pull.  Just a bit of light pitting on the rear face. Stamped on the front tang is K&B (over) HDWE Co (over) MI GERMANY.  Stamped on the rear tang is CUTSURE. The knife has a gorgeous set of dark brown gnarly stag scales. They’re in perfect condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There are three brass handle pins in each scale.  It has brightly polished nickel silver rounded bolsters. The liners are polished brass. The knife has two steel back springs with no cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. There is some staining in a small area on one of the rear back spring.  This vintage or antique K&B Hdwe Co CUTURE 4-Blade Equal End Senator Pen Pocket knife was made in Germany between c.1858-1962 (remember even 1962 was 60 years ago) and is 3 5/8” in length. This is really a beauty and I haven’t really seen all that many Cutsure knives.
