Up for sale is a VERY early Cold Steel Outdoorsman.  This early example displays a "false edge" following the curvature of the blade...a feature only exhibited on the earliest Outdoorsman knives.  The blade is stamped "Made in Japan" on one side and "VG-1 San Mai III" on the other.  The sheath, which uses a snap closure...also a feature only seen on the earliest Outdoorsman knives...is stamped "Japan" on the back.

The knife itself has some minute scratches...either from handling or light use.  It shows no evidence of sharpening.  I would rate the knife as "near excellent".  The sheath is solid, but does display some wear, and it appears someone may have scratched a Japanese letter (or the letter "K") into the front of the sheath.  I would rate the sheath overall as "very good".
