This is a very unusual combination fish knife made by Camillus Cutlery Company. The blade is stamped CAMCO which was one of their many brands sold. The handle indicates the knife was a souvenir from Independence Kansas. The blade is saber ground on the front side and flat on the reverse filleting. The top of the blade has a fish scaler. The guard at the tang is very unusual in that it has a can opener on one end and a cap (bottle) opener on the opposite side. The knife measures 7-1/2" long tip to tip. The sheath is original. It a pressed forest scene at the bottom with the word CAMCO at the top. The sheath stitching is solid and the snap works. The only real flaw I can point out is there are some faint initials scratched in to the leather on the inner side of the sheath. Not a big deal but I tell you for clarity of description. That said, this is a very unusual piece that will certainly made a nice addition to a number of different collections. I would date this knife late 1940's/ early 1950's. Ships first class USPS.
