GERMANY 4-Blade Sterling Silver Shadow Pen Folding Pocket Knife with a Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, Two (2) Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blades with  Common Nail Pulls, a Carbon Steel Dual-Sided Nail File, or Manicure Blade,  Brightly Polished .925 Sterling Silver Handles with an Intricate Raised Design Around the Edges of Each Scale and Stamped Sterling and 925 over 1000, Two Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks, 2 5/8” in Length, Made by S.L. & CO. Located in Germany and Most Probably Made in the Early 1900’s.

This is a Vintage S.L.&CO. GERMANY 4-Blade Sterling Silver Shadow Pen Pocket Knife with brightly polished .925 Sterling Silver handles. Almost nothing is known about this company though their name is listed in Goins. It has a barely used carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. There are just a few scattered stains on either face and it looks to be 100% full. Stamped on the front tang is S.L.&CO. (over) GERMANY. Next to it is a barely used and unsharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. Both faces have quite a bit of scattered staining but it too seems to be 100% full. Stamped on the front tang is S.L.&CO. (over) GERMANY. On the other end of the frame is another carbon steel pen blade with a common nail pull. There’s just a little light staining on either face. Stamped on the front tang is S.L.&CO. (over) GERMANY. Next to it is a carbon steel dual-sided fingernail file, or manicure, blade. It has a standard vertical valley and ridge type file blade with the fingernail cleaner on the tip of the blade. All four blades have good to excellent snap on open and close. The knife has a beautiful set of brightly polished .925 Sterling Silver scales with a very intricate raised design around the edges of both scales. Both scales are stamped STERLING on one end and .925 (over) 1000 on the other end. The liners are actually the scales on this knife. The knife has two (2) steel back spring s with no cracks or breaks. They continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This rare vintage or antique .925 Sterling Silver S.L.&CO. GERMANY Shadow Pen Pocket knife is 2 5/8” in length.
