This is a Lightly Used Vintage SYRACUSE KNIFE COMPANY SYRACUSE N.Y. 1-Blade Bowtie Fishtail Folding Pocket Knife with a Lightly Used Carbon Steel Clip Point Blade with a Long Nail Pull, Very Dark Brown Jigged Bovine Bone Scales with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Three (3) Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Elongated Bolsters with a Upper and Lower Hand Guard, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Fishtail Shaped End Caps, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, a Single Steel Back Spring with No Breaks or Cracks, 3 7/8” in Length, with the Syracuse Knife Company being a Trademark Used by the Camillus Knife Co and Made in the 1930’s. 

This is a Vintage Syracuse Knife Company 1-Blade Bow tie or Fishtail Folding Pocket Knife still in excellent condition. Syracuse was a trademark used by the Camillus Knife Co. in the 1930’s. The knife has lightly used carbon steel clip point blade with a long nail pull. Both faces are in excellent shape and still maintain much of their original factory mirror polish.  Each face does have scratches from use but doesn’t appear to have ever been sharpened. The knife is stamped on the front tang is SYRACUSE (in an arch)(over) KNIFE (over) COMPANY (over) SYRACUSE, N.Y.  The blade still has excellent open and close snap.  It has an excellent plus set of very dark brown to black jigged bovine bone scales. They’re free of any cracks, splits or missing chips. There are three (3) hard to see brass handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver elongated bolsters with an upper and lower hand guard. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver fishtail shaped end caps. The liners are brightly polished brass. It has a single steel back spring which is free of any breaks or cracks but does have just a bit of light staining. It continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. The great looking Syracuse Knife Company 1-Blade Folding Pocket Knife with hand guards is 3 7/8” in length and is in great overall condition.  Syracuse was a trademark used by Camillus between c.1935-1940.  Additional photos or information on request.
